Board Director Change

Halfords Group plc announces that Paul McClenaghan, the Group's Commercial Director has agreed after eight years with Halfords to leave the Company and will step down from the Board. The Group has commenced a search for his successor. In the interim, Matt Davies, Group Chief Executive will assume direct responsibility for commercial activities with effect from today.  

Matt Davies, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"We would like to thank Paul for his immense contribution over the past eight years. We wish him every success in the next stage of his career."

Paul McClenaghan said:

"I have enjoyed working at Halfords and feel we have accomplished a great deal during my time with the business. I feel now is the appropriate time to step down and seek fresh challenges elsewhere."
