GL EVENTS ACQUIRES FIELD & LAWN LTD. IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
GL EVENTS (ISIN: FR0000066672 - TICKER: GLO), THE INTEGRATED EVENT INDUSTRY GROUP, ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF FIELD & LAWN LTD. IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
GL events has acquired 100% of the shares of Field & Lawn Ltd., a provider of temporary buildings throughout the British territory.
Founded in 1986, Field & Lawn has four business offerings: event marquees and structures, temporary industrial buildings, placemaking and festive lighting solutions. It has approximately 90 employees, operating at three sites (Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol). The current management team will remain in place to contribute to its continuing growth. Post-COVID, Field & Lawn's annual revenue amounts to approximately £11m, generating an EBITDA margin above 20%. Benefiting from a diverse customer portfolio, it is currently contributing to designing venues for the 70th anniversary celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. In addition, it regularly produces festive lighting displays for Christmas in London, Edinburgh, and other major cities.
This acquisition strengthens GL events' presence in the United Kingdom while providing an opportunity to integrate and develop a new service offering: festive lighting. This entity will operate under the responsibility of GL events UK management. Post-integration, the Group may also benefit from additional commercial and logistics synergies. In this respect, Field & Lawn is already supporting GL events UK teams in their work to produce the Commonwealth Games to be held in Birmingham next summer.
