Schöneck, May 14, 2009 - GK SOFTWARE AG was able to continue its growth in
the first quarter of 2009. The report for this period, which was presented
today, shows an increase in sales to EUR 4.59 million compared with EUR
3.66 million in the first three months of 2008.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to EUR 0.86 during the
reporting period. Due to special effects, particularly above-average
revenues from licenses, EBIT was EUR 0.99 million in the first three months
of 2008. Based on total operating revenues totaling EUR 4.58 million, this
equates an EBIT margin of 18.9% for the first quarter of 2009 (fiscal year
2008: 18.5%). Net income for the quarter was EUR 0.66 million. This
corresponds to earnings per share of EUR 0.39 after the first three months
of 2009.

Because of the current general economic situation the Management Board will
not provide any specific forecast for the current business year. However,
the Management Board is confident that the company will continue to
increase its sales in 2009 and achieve appropriate profitability.

units in approx. 13,500 stores in Germany and abroad. The company has grown
rapidly during the past few years and its sales revenues totaled EUR 15.0
million in 2008. GK SOFTWARE AG achieved EBIT of EUR 2.8 million (EBIT
margin of 18.5% on total operating revenue). The two founders and
Management Board members, Rainer Gläß (CEO) und Stephan Kronmüller (CTO),
in conjunction with the Management Board members Ronald Scholz (COO) and
