Groupe Eurotunnel SA was awarded third place in the Industry sector in the Gaïa index, the reference index for Socially Responsible investors

Groupe Eurotunnel SA has been placed in the Top 3 of the Gaïa index for its industrial sector. The Gaïa index, established in 2009 by Ethifinance and supported by the SFAF and MiddleNext, is an index dedicated to mid-cap companies based on extra-financial data. The index evaluates a company's level of commitment to the challenges of sustainable development and social responsibility. The result is based on a total of 117 criteria, 27 of which are related to the environment, 24 to social engagement and 43 to corporate governance.

For the fourth year consecutively, Groupe Eurotunnel SA has been included amongst the 230 companies analyzed and the 70 French businesses which have achieved the best nonfinancial results.

The Gaïa index, which is considered as a reference point for data in the field of Socially Responsible Investment, enables fund managers and analysts to identify the most responsible companies and to take account of non-financial criteria in their analysis and investment decisions. The portfolio reviewed represents over €140 billion in revenues and more than a million jobs.
