Chairman’s address to shareholders at 2017 Annual General Meeting

Good afternoon. My name is Eddie Pang, Chairman of Genesis Resources Limited. On behalf of the Company, I welcome you to our 2017 Annual General Meeting.

I would like to take this opportunity to address shareholders on the Company’s activities and progress during the 2017 financial year. I will then invite my fellow Director and Exploration Manager, James Patterson, to deliver a presentation to shareholders.

As shareholders will know, a 30-year Exploitation Licence at our Plavica Project in Macedonia was granted in May 2015 to Silgen Resources, the joint venture company owned by Genesis and Sileks, our Macedonian-based JV partner.

Consistent with prior years, in 2017 we continued to focus on drilling and exploration at Plavica. During the year, we completed a series of reverse circulation and diamond drilling campaigns at Plavica, which were focussed on extending and better understanding the previously known mineralisation at both the Plavica and Maricanski Rid prospects.

Following completion of this extensive drilling program, we announced last week an updated Mineral Resource estimate for Plavica, prepared in accordance with the 2012 edition of the JORC Code. I am pleased to advise that the updated resource represents an upgrade of 18% on the total ounces of the same material reported in December 2016.

The full resource report is available on our website, and James Patterson will elaborate on the key highlights of the updated resource during his presentation.

Before I hand the meeting over to James, I would like to conclude by expressing my appreciation for the contributions made by my fellow Directors and management team during the year. I am confident that the Board and management are well positioned to drive the Company’s resource assets to the next level, in particular at the Plavica Project, and to increase the value of the assets of Genesis for the benefit of all shareholders and investors.
