VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

BUSINESS UPDATE ON KOREA OPERATION

This announcement is made by Future Data Group Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) on a voluntary basis. The purpose of this announcement is to keep shareholders and potential investors of the Company informed of the latest business development of the Group.

The Board of Directors (the “ Board ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that our wholly owned subsidiary in Korea, Global Telecom Company Limited (“ Global Telecom ”), has won a contract to build a new cloud solution for Kakao Corporation (the “ Customer ”), the largest mobile messaging app operator in Korea, in a contract sum of US$4.0 million (equivalent to approximately HK$31.2 million).

The Customer was looking for a solution that provides stable and lowest possible delay for its virtual banking applications over the Internet. Global Telecom proposed a solution based on Arista Networks technology to satisfy the requirements of expanding infrastructure capacity.

The Board believe that the winning of this contract from the largest mobile messaging app operator in Korea is a recognition on our market leading position in building digital infrastructure and participation in virtual banking business segment.
