Board appointment

Sports Direct is pleased to announce the appointment of David Brayshaw as a Non-Executive Director. Mr Brayshaw joins the Board and the Company's Audit Committee with immediate effect.

David is a very experienced senior investment and commercial banker.  He has over 30 years' experience with organisations such as Barclays Capital, HSBC, Citigroup and Pilkington plc.

Dr Keith Hellawell, Chairman of Sports Direct, said: "We are delighted that David has agreed to join the Board. David's expertise, especially in finance and treasury, will complement the Board very well, bringing significant benefits to the Company."

Mr Brayshaw said: "I am delighted to be joining the Board of one of the UK's most dynamic companies."

The Company confirms that there is no information to disclose under paragraphs 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules in respect of Mr Brayshaw.
