FirstWave announces the appointment of David Kirton as Chief Financial Officer

Leading Australian Cloud Security technology company, FirstWave Cloud Technology Limited (ASX: FCT) (“FirstWave”, “Company”) is pleased to advise of the appointment of Mr David Kirton as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective 9 May 2017.

Mr. Kirton is a highly-regarded technology executive who brings extensive professional experience managing the financial, commercial and operational sides of a global technology business including finance, strategy, business planning, programme management, business growth and risk governance.

During a career spanning more than 25 years, Mr. Kirton spent more than 18 years across key executive positions at Telstra Corporation where he was pivotal in helping develop and execute strategy for growing and improving overall business financial performance across key enterprise and business divisions.

His appointment comes at a period of significant growth for FirstWave in the telco market. FirstWave has a longstanding partnership with Telstra to supply its industry-leading information security services to three of Australia’s big four banks, along with major enterprise customers such as Qantas.
