FINBAR COMPLETES ST MARKS AND KNIGHTSGATE PROJECTS

  • St Marks and Knightsgates projects reach practical completion.

  • Combined project end value of $89 million.

  • Settlements on pre-sold apartments to commence in October 2013.

  • Revenue forecast to contribute significantly to Finbar’s H1 FY14 earnings.

Perth, 13 September 2013: Western Australia’s leading apartment developer Finbar Group Limited (ASX:FRI) ( Finbar or the Company ) is pleased to advise the completion of the Company’s St Marks and Knightsgate projects.

The St Marks project located at 131 Harold Street, Highgate, is located only seconds walk from the bustling, vibrant Beaufort Street café strip, bars and restaurants in Highgate and consists of 130 luxury apartments alongside the original heritage school building. The project apartments have been sold out since March 2013 and the commercial building has also been sold for future use as an education facility.

The Knightsgate project located at 17 Sunlander Drive, Currumbine, is located just minutes away from Burns Beach and offers modern resort-style apartments in very close proximity to the train station. The project has been very popular with first home buyers and as such 41 apartments have been sold in the 43 unit project.

Combined, the two projects have an end value of $89 million and will both contribute to revenues for the first half of the financial year to 31 December 2013.

Final site presentation is underway at both sites in preparation for settlements which are anticipated to commence in October.

Finbar Managing Director, Darren Pateman said, “With our current cash position and cashflows anticipated from settlements in these projects over the next few months, our company is very well positioned to support the commencement of new projects this coming year and to continue to have capacity to benefit from new growth opportunities as they are suitably identified.”
