Dear James

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

I refer to our telephone conversation this afternoon and confirm that Richfield Group Limited (ASX: RCH) requests that a trading halt be granted in relation to the Companies securities immediately pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1.

The reason for the trading halt is that the Company expects to make an announcement to the market by Monday morning.

The Company would like the trading halt to last until a further announcement as contemplated (but in any event not beyond the time prescribed by the ASX Market Rules).

The Company is unaware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted and does not hold any further information which ought now to be announced to the market that is relevant to the trading halt.

Yours sincerely

Luke Martino Company Secretary
