Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ASX: ECT) – Trading Halt

Description

The securities of Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (‘ECT’) will be placed in trading halt at the request of ECT, pending it releasing an announcement. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 30 August 2021 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT – ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (ASX:ECT)

Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ASX:ECT) ( ECT or the Company ) requests an immediate trading halt.

In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, the Company provides the following information regarding this request:

1. The trading halt is requested pending an application to the Federal Court by the Company seeking orders in relation to the Company’s inadvertent failure to lodge a cleansing notice under section 708A(5)(e) of the Corporations Act within the prescribed 5 day period after the issue of 50,000,000 options in its ECTOE class of securities on 14 July 2021.

2. The Company requests that the trading halt remains in place until the earlier of the Company releasing an announcement in relation to the outcome of its application as determined by the Court, and the commencement of trading on 30 August 2021.

3. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.

4. The Company is not aware of any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
