Dr. Detlef Münchow to leave Electrolux

Detlef Münchow, Executive Vice President of AB Electrolux and sector head of Electrolux Professional, will be leaving the Group at the end of September 2009. A search for a new head of Electrolux Professional has commenced.

Münchow joined Electrolux in 1999, and successfully restructured the professional products business sector, mostly by divesting unrelated businesses, such as Components, Vending, Commercial Refrigeration and Leisure. The sector became focused on the Laundry and Foodservice businesses, and reduced the number of brands, refocused on products and segments, and drove into new geographies, specifically Asia. The Sector reported a record year in 2008 and is well prepared for the world economic downturn.

Electrolux Professional is a world leader in the production and distribution of professional food service and laundry solutions. In 2008 Electrolux Professional had sales of SEK 7.4 billion.
