EDP COMPLETES ASSET ROTATION DEAL OF TRANSMISSION LINES IN BRAZIL

Lisbon, December 28 th , 2021: EDP – Energias do Brasil, S.A. ("EDP Energias do Brasil" or "Company"), 55.71% held by EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A., has concluded the disposal to Actis Assessoria Investimentos Ltda ("Actis") of 100% of equity stakes in Transmissão S.A. ("Lote 24"), EDP Maranhão I S.A. ("Lote 7") and EDP Maranhão II S.A. ("Lote 11"). The three transmission assets are 439 km of length and R\$131 million in RAP.

The final value of the transaction corresponds to an Enterprise Value of R\$ 1,329 million (€ 210 million, considering a EUR/BRL exchange rate of 6.33), subject to any other post-closing adjustments and obligations common to this type of transaction.

The disposal of transmission companies takes place in conjunction with the acquisition of Celg-T shares on October 14th of this year and follows the strategic orientation of EDP's business plan.
