ECONOCOM STRENGTHENS ITS POSITION IN THE TELECOMS MARKET

Econocom acquires Tactem, a TEM (Telecom Expense Management) solutions provider

Econocom Group, the European leader in business‐to‐business ICT infrastructure management, has continued its acquisitions by acquiring 100% ownership of Tactem, a French independent software vendor specialising in telecoms management for international companies.

Run by two telecoms experts, Manuel Ceva and Patrick Allard, Tactem is an innovative young company which enjoyed rapid growth and quickly built up a reputation with international corporate clients, for whom it provided telecom management services. With its TIO© (Tactem Information Officer) software, Tactem allows large companies to manage their inventories, costs and suppliers effectively in a complex and constantly‐changing telecoms environment. Telecommunications and infrastructures account for 35% of large companies' ICT budget.

Ahead of the business IT and telecoms infrastructure convergence trend, Econocom founded Econocom Telecom Services (ETS) over 10 years ago. With CAC40 companies accounting for 50% of its client base, ETS has established itself as a pioneer and leader in the French telecom outsourcing and mobile solutions integration market. With this acquisition, it now boasts an integrated and comprehensive TEM offering enabling it to manage the entire value chain and offer tailored solutions to its corporate clients. Tactem will also enhance Master IT, Econocom's B2B IT and telecom asset management solution which currently handles over 300,000 telecom assets and 3.3 million IT assets worldwide.

"With the boom in the communicating objects market, managing telecom costs has become crucial for companies. The addition of Tactem's solutions to our offering will further increase Econocom's ability to assist its clients in controlling and managing their telecom fleet," explains Gregory Elmoznino, Managing Director of Econocom Telecom Services.

According to Manuel Ceva, cofounder of Tactem: "Tactem is now entering a large‐scale commercial and industrial deployment phase. We firmly believe that a group such as Econocom will enable us to step up business development with our target clients ‐ international corporate accounts who are looking for an international company that providers both services and the related software. Econocom's leadership in telecoms services is undisputed and we are very proud to be part of Europe's leading independent ICT infrastructure management provider."

This transaction in the fast growing business‐to‐business telecom services sector shows an investment of approximately €1 million. It is in line with Econocom Group's strategy for acquiring specific expertises in order to keep apace with major new trends in the technology infrastructure market.

About Econocom: Established in 17 countries with 3,700 employees and consolidated revenue of €1.58 billion in 2011, Econocom is Europe's leading independent provider of business‐to‐business IT and telecoms infrastructure management services.

Its services include consultancy, distribution, leasing and a complete range of IT outsourcing services. The Econocom Group share (BE0003563716 ‐ ECONB) has been listed on the Euronext NYSE in Brussels since 1986 and is part of the BelMid index.
