Payment of Dividend

. Members may note that the Board of Directors of the Company at their Meeting held on Friday, May 14, 2021 had considered and recommended payment of final dividend of Re. 0.50 per equity shares of a face value of Rs. 2 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2021, subject to approval of Members in the ensuing 12th AGM. As Members may be aware, as per Income-Tax Act, 1961, as amended by the Finance Act, 2020, dividends paid or distributed by the Company after April 01, 2020, shall be taxable in the hands of the Members and the Company shall be required to deduct tax at source (TDS) at the prescribed rates from the dividend, subject to approval of Members in the forthcoming AGM. Ministry of Corporate Affairs (vide Circular dated 05.05.2020 and 13.01.2021) and SEBI (vide Circular dated 12.05.2020) read with SEBI/HO/CFD/CMD2/CIR/P/2021/11 dated 15 January 2021 have granted exemption from dispatching physical copies Notices and annual report to shareholders and also allowed conducting Annual General Meetings (AGM) through electronic mode during the year 2021 in view of COVID-19 pandemic. মনসার আরাধনা

দুরন্ত বার্তা, পুরুলিয়া, ১৮ আগস্ট ঃ পুরুলিয়া জেলা তথা জঙ্গলমহলের অন্যতম বড় উৎসব হলো মনসা পজা। প্রতিবছর এই মনসা পজা হয়ে থাকে শ্রাবণ মাসের শেষ দিন।

এবছরও মনসা পজা অনষ্ঠিত হলো সারা জঙ্গলমহলে মঙ্গলবার। এই পুজোতে মনসা দেবীকে সন্তুষ্ট করতে হাঁস অথবা যাদের আর্থিক সামর্থ্য আছে তারা ছাগ বলি দিয়ে থাকেন। গতবছর লকডাউনের কডাকডি থাকায় সেভাবে মনসা পূজার উৎসব পালিত হয়নি। তবে পজা হয়েছিলো ভক্তিভরে। এবছর লকডাউনের কিছুটা শিথিলতা থাকায় জেলাজুড়ে মনসা পূজার উৎসব পালিত হয়েছে। মঙ্গলবার সারা দিন উপোস করে রাতে পজা হয়ে থাকে। তার পরের দিন বুধবার পুরুলিয়া জেলাজুড়ে এক বনধের চেহারা নেয়, বেশিরভাগ দোকানপাট বন্ধ থাকে, হোটেল বন্ধ থাকে, যানবাহন

চলাচল বেশিরভাগই বন্ধ থাকে মনসা পজার পরের দিন পুরুলিয়া জেলাজুড়ে। এই পুজো পুরুলিয়া জেলার প্রতিটি বাড়িতেই অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে থাকে৷ তবে মূর্তিপূজা কয়েক হাজার হয়ে থাকে। পূজাকে কেন্দ্র করে মানুষের মধ্যে উৎসাহ-উদ্দীপনা জমে ওঠে। শ্ৰাবণ মাসে মানষ চাষবাস, চাষিরা চাষ করার পর শেষ দিনে এই মনসা পূজার আনন্দ একটা আলাদা অনুভুতি পান। তার পরের দিন যা পান্না বলে পরিচিত, মাংস ভাত খেয়ে মানুষ আনন্দে জাতমঙ্গল গান করে দিন কাটান। করোনা উৎসব কেড়ে নিলেও ভক্তিতে কম আসে না মানমের মনে।

মাছের বাজার

দুরন্ত বার্তা, মালদা, ১৮ আগস্ট ঃ দীর্ঘদিনের স্বপ্ন পূরণ হলো মৎস্য ব্যবসায়ীদের। বুধবার সকালে আম বাজার এলাকায় অবস্থিত মালদা জেলা নিয়ন্ত্রিত বাজারে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে উদ্বোধন করা হল মৎস্য বাজারের। প্রথম দিনই ব্যাপক সাড়া পাওয়া যায় মাছ বাজারে। মালদা শহর সহ ইংরেজবাজার এবং সুজাপুরের শতাধিক পাইকারি মাছ বিক্রেতাদের উপস্থিতি ছিল এদিন। এছাড়াও এদিনর এই মাছ বাজারের আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মালদা জেলার রেগুলেটেড মার্কেট মৎস্য ব্যবসায়ী সমিতির সদস্য কমল ঘোষ, শুভঙ্কর সাটিয়ার, হাসান আলী সহ অন্যান্যরা। সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়, মাছ বাজারের উদ্বোধনের প্রথম দিনই ব্যাপক সাড়া পাওয়া গেছে। শতাধিক খচরা এবং পাইকারি বিক্রেতারা অংশ নিয়েছেন। যেহেত আজ প্ৰথম দিন তাই মাছের যোগান সঠিক ভাবে তারা দিতে পারেননি। আশা করছেন আগামীকাল থেকে সমস্ত ধরনের মাছের যোগান থাকবে এই মাছ বাজারে। তার পাশাপাশি সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে আরও দাবি করা হয়, রথবাডি থেকে আম

শুনলে অবাক হবেন ১৯৪৭ সালের ১৫ আগস্ট স্বাধীন ভারতের পতাকা ওঠেনি মালদা, মর্শিদাবাদ ও নদীয়া জেলার একাংশে। পরে ১৮ আগস্ট ভারত অন্তর্ভুক্তির সময় স্বাধীন ভারতের পতাকা উড়েছিল। সেই থেকে আজও এই এলাকাগুলিতে স্বাধীনতা দিবস উদযাপন হয় ১৮ আগস্ট। ভারতবর্ষ স্বাধীনতা লাভ করলেও, তৎকালীন দিনাজপুর, মালদা, মুর্শিদবাদ এবং নদীয়ার বেশ কিছু অংশের ভারতভুক্তি হয় ১৮ আগস্ট। দেশ ভাগের সময় দিনাজপুর, মর্শিদাবাদ এবং নদীয়ার পাশাপাশি মালদার ১৫টি থানা পাকিস্তানের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে, নাকি ভারতের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে, তা নিশ্চিত না হওয়ায়, ১৫ আগস্ট স্বাধীনতা লাভের স্বাদ থেকে বঞ্চিত হয় মালদাও। এরপর সীমান্ত কমিশনের সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী, তৎকালীন মালদার ১০টি থানাকে ভারতের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়। তখন থেকেই ১৮ আগস্ট দিনটিকে বিশেষ মর্যাদার সঙ্গে পালন করে `আসছে মালদাবাসী। বুধবার সকালে মালদা শহরের রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন ঘাট এলাকায় ১৮ আগস্ট দিনটিকে স্মরণে রেখে উদযাপন করা হয় মালদার ৭৫তম স্বাধীনতা দিবস। জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করেন রাজ্যসভার সাংসদ সুখেন্দুশেখর রায়। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন, প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী কৃষ্ণেন্দুনারায়ণ চৌধুরী, ইংরেজবাজার পুরসভার প্রশাসক সমালা আগরওয়াল। পতাকা উত্তোলনের পাশাপাশি প্রয়াত স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী শিবেন্দু শেখর রায়ের আবক্ষ মৃর্তিতে মাল্যদান করে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করা হয়। আগামী বছর ভারতের স্বাধীনতার ৭৫ বছর পূর্তি উৎসব উপলক্ষে এই বিশেষ দিনটিকে একটু আলাদা ভাবে তুলে ধরতে, কেন্দ্রীয়ভাবে কোনও অনুষ্ঠান করার কথা ভাবা হচ্ছে বলে জানিয়েছেন রাজ্যসভার তৃণমূল সাংসদ সুখেন্দুশেখর রায়।

নারায়ণী সেনা দুরন্ত বার্তা, শিলিগুড়ি, ১৮ আগস্ট ঃ শিলিগুড়িতে বুধবার বিজেপির শহীদ সম্মান যাত্রাকে ঘিরে উত্তেজনা দেখা যায়। পুলিশ শিলিগুড়ির বেশ কয়েক জায়গায় শহীদ সম্মান যাত্ৰায় অংশগ্রহণকারী নারায়ণী সেনাদের আটকে দেয়। শিলিগুড়ি হিন্দি হাই স্কুলে এদিন সকালে নারায়ণী সেনাদের আটকে দেওয়া হয়। একই সাথে পলিশের তরফে গাডিতেও কাঁটাতার লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। তাদের জল খেতে দেওয়া হয়নি বলেও অভিযোগ। এই ঘটনার প্রতিবাদে এদিন দুপুরে বিজেপির রাজ্য সহ সভাপতি দীপেন্দ্রনাথ প্রামানিকের নেতৃত্বে বিজেপির বিধায়ক ও সাংসদের একটি প্রতিনিধিদল শিলিগুড়ির পুলিশ কমিশনার গৌরবের সাথে দেখা করে। এদিন বিজেপির এই প্রতিনিধি দলে ছিলেন বালুরঘাটের সাংসদ সুকান্ত মজুমদার, শিলিগুডির বিধায়ক শংকর ঘোষ. ডাবগ্ৰাম-ফুলবাড়ি বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের বিধায়িকা শিখা চ্যাটার্জি, মাটিগাড়া-নকশালবাড়ির বিধায়ক আনন্দময় বৰ্মন। এদিন কমিশনারের সাথে তারা দীর্ঘক্ষণ এই প্রসঙ্গে বৈঠক করার পর সংবাদমাধ্যমে বিজেপির রাজ্য সহ সভাপতি দীপেন্দ্রনাথ প্ৰামানিক জানিয়েছেন, পুলিশ যেভাবে বিজেপির নেতা কর্মী ও নারায়ণী সেনার সদস্য ও তাদের গাডি আটকে রাখছে এই বিষয় নিয়ে পুলিশ কমিশনারের কাছে নিঃশর্তে তাদের মুক্তির দাবি করা হয়েছে। একইসাথে শিলিগুড়ির একটি ভবনে বেশ কয়েকজনকে আটকে রাখা হয়েছে। তাই পুলিশের কাছে দাবি রাখা হয়েছে যাতে ওই ভবনে আটকদের বিরুদ্ধে কোনরকম মামলা না করা হয়। তিনি আরও জানিয়েছেন সমস্ত বিজেপির নেতা-কর্মী ও তাদের গাড়ি এবং নারায়ণী সেনার সকল সদস্যদের মুক্তি দেওয়ার পরই কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী ফিরবেন।

বাড়িতে পড়াতে এসে চরি করলেন এক গহ শিক্ষিকা দুরন্ত বার্তা, বাঁকুড়া, ১৮ আগস্ট ঃ ষষ্ঠ শ্রেণির এক ছাত্রীকে বাড়িতে

পড়াতে এসে চরির অভিযোগ উঠল এক গৃহ শিক্ষিকার বিরুদ্ধে। বাঁকুড়ার বিষ্ণুপুর শহরের শাঁখারিবাজার এলাকার এমনই ঘটনা ঘটেছে। নির্দিষ্ট অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে পুলিশ প্রার্থনা কোলে নামে ওই গৃহ শিক্ষিকাকে গ্রেফতার করে। সত্রের খবর, হুগলির পুরশুড়ার বাসিন্দা প্রার্থনা কোলে বছর দেড়েক আগে বিষ্ণুপুর শহরের একটি বেসরকারি ইংরেজি মাধ্যম স্কলে শিক্ষকতার চাকরি নিয়ে আসেন। তারপর থেকেই তিনি ছিন্নমন্তা. দলমাদল রোডের একটি বাড়িতে ভাড়া থাকতেন। ঘটনাচক্ৰে গত তিন মাস আগে শাঁখারিবাজারের বাসিন্দা ওই স্কুলেই ষষ্ঠ শ্ৰেণির ছাত্ৰীকে বাড়ি গিয়ে পড়াতে শুরু করেন তিনি। ওই ছাত্ৰীর মা পাপিয়া পাল বলেন, প্রার্থনা কোলে নামে ওই শিক্ষিকা দুপুরে মেয়েকে পড়াতে আসতেন। প্ৰায় দিনই পোশাক পাল্টানো সহ নানান অছিলায় মেয়েকে ঘরের বাইরে বের করে দরজা বন্ধ করে দিতেন তিনি। প্রথম দিকে বিষয়টি সেভাবে নজরে না এলেও পরে সন্দেহ হয়। ছাত্রীর অভিভাবকরা খেয়াল করে দেখেন, ওই ঘরের আলমারির ভিতরে থাকা নগদ ১ লক্ষ ৫২ হাজার টাকা ছাড়াও কয়েকটি সোনার গয়না খোয়া গিয়েছে। চুরির ঘটনা বুঝতে পেরে বিষ্ণুপুর থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয়। মঙ্গলবার ওই শিক্ষিকা পড়াতে এসে ফের চুরির চেষ্টা করেন বলে অভিযোগ। হাতেনাতে তাঁকে ধরে থানায় খবর দেওয়া হয়। পলিশ এসে অভিযক্ত গহশিক্ষিকাকে গ্রফতার করা হয়। পুলিশ গ্রেফতার করেছে খবর পেয়েই বিষ্ণুপুরে এসে পৌঁছেছেন ওই গৃহ শিক্ষিকার পরিবারের লোকজন। অভিযক্ত প্রার্থনা

পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের নির্দেশানুসারে বিজুর-২ গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের (মেমারি-২ পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি) প্রচেষ্টায় দুয়ারে সরকার (দ্বিতীয় পর্যায়) কর্মসূচীর ১ম দিনের প্রয়াসে লক্ষীর ভান্ডার-১৮০০ জন, স্বাস্থ্যসাথী-২৬৫ জন, জাতিগত শংসাপত্ৰ-৯৭ জন, কৃষকবন্ধু- ৪৫ জন, খাদ্যসাথী-৫১ জন সহ অন্যান্য ১৪ টি প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে সর্বমোট আনুমানিক ৩০০০ জন মানুষ সুবিধা পাওয়ার জন্য আবেদন করেছেন। সরকারের এই প্রচেষ্টায় গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত গর্বিত, বিশেষত লক্ষীর ভান্ডার কর্মসূচীর জন্য যেখানে গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত এলাকার কমবেশি ৬০০০ মহিলা উপকত হতে চলেছেন। সরকারের এই উদ্যোগকে অত্র পঞ্চায়েতের প্রধান, পঞ্চায়েত পরিবার সহ সকল কর্মচারীরা সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছেন ও সকলে পূর্ণ সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন।
