Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On October 30, 2017, Donna M. England, Chief Accounting Officer of DTE Energy Company and DTE Electric Company (the "Companies"), announced her intent to relinquish her title of Chief Accounting Officer effective as of December 31, 2017 and to retire effective as of February 9, 2018. The Companies intend to appoint Jeffrey A. Jewell, Vice President and Controller, as Chief Accounting Officer effective as of January 1, 2018.
