Sales: EUR 88.33 million
EBIT: EUR 3.44 million
SOLID RESULT IN THE FIRST QUARTER
DO & CO Restaurants & Catering AG today announced its results for the first
quarter of business year 2009/2010 (1 April 2009 to 30 June 2009) in
accordance with IFRS.
DO & CO achieved total sales of EUR 88.33 million, which represents
decrease of EUR -41.64 million over the same period of the last year (PY:
EUR 129.97 Mio). Airline Catering slightly reduced its sales by EUR -1.61
million to EUR 61.39 million (PY: EUR 63.00 million). Sales of the division
International Event Catering decreased extraordinarily from EUR 50.66
million to EUR 11.95 million due to the sales of the EURO 2008 project in
the first quarter of the last business year. Division Restaurants, Lounges
& Hotel reports sales of EUR 14.99 million compared to EUR 16.31 million in
the first quarter of the last business year.
The consolidated EBIT of the DO & CO Group for the first quarter of
business year 2009/2010 amounts to EUR 3.44 million (PY: EUR 4.81 million).
EBIT margin rose to 3.9 % (PY: 3.7 %). EBITDA amounts to EUR 7.52 million
(PY: EUR 9.01 million) for an EBITDA margin of 8.5 % (PY: 6.9 %). The Net
result of the first quarter 2009/2010 amounts to EUR 1.86 million (PY: EUR
2.51 million).
AIRLINE CATERING - EBITDA of division Airline Catering rose by EUR 0.43
million from EUR 4.98 million to EUR 5.41million. EBITDA margin amounts 8.8
% (PY: 7.9 %). EBIT grew from EUR 1.86 million to EUR 1.95 million for an
EBIT margin of 3.2 % (PY: 2.9 %).
INTERNATIONAL EVENT CATERING - EBITDA amounts to EUR 0.99 million in the
first quarter 2009/2010 (PY: EUR 2.81 million). EBIT decreased by EUR 2.32
million to EUR 0.90 million. EBITDA margin amounts to 8.3 % (PY: 5.6 %),
EBIT margin lies at 7.5 % (PY: 4.6 %).
RESTAURANTS, LOUNGES & HOTEL - EBITDA of division Restaurants, Lounges &
Hotel decreased from EUR 1.22 million in the first quarter of 2008/2009 to
EUR 1.12 million in the ongoing business year. EBITDA margin amounts 7.5 %
(PY: 7.5 %). EBIT decreased slightly by EUR -0.05 million to EUR 0.59
million. EBIT margin amounts 3.9 % (PY: 3.9 %)
