Appointment of Chairman

Dialight plc ("Dialight" or "the Group"), the leading LED lighting technology company, is pleased to announce that Wayne Edmunds has been appointed Chairman. He will join the Board with effect from 25 January 2016 to succeed Bill Ronald, who gave notice on 27 July 2015 of his intention to stand down as Chairman and Director of the Group.

Wayne was previously Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Invensys, a leading technology company with a global footprint. He has wide-ranging Non-Executive Director experience. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Ashtead Group plc, BBA Aviation plc and MSCI Inc.

Stephen Bird, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Nomination Committee appointed to lead the succession process, said:

1.   About Wayne Edmunds

Wayne Edmunds was Chief Executive Officer of Invensys plc from 2011 until 2014, having worked at the business since 2008 in various roles including Chief Financial Officer from 2009 to 2011. He joined Invensys from Reuters America Inc., where he was Chief Financial Officer, and has held several other senior finance roles in the technology sector including 17 years at Lucent Technologies. Wayne currently holds Non-Executive roles at Ashtead Group plc, serving as Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee, BBA Aviation plc and MSCI Inc. 

2.   Dialight confirms that there are no additional matters that would require disclosure under LR 9.6.13 R (1) to (6) in relation to this appointment.
