Major shareholder announcement pursuant to Section 29 of the Danish Securities Trading Act and Section 55 of the Danish Companies Act

Today, DFDS A/S has received the below mentioned announcement from Vesterhavet Holding A/S, CVR no. 31 89 74 16, which is disclosed to the market in accordance with Section 29(1) (3) of the Danish Securities Trading Act:

"Vesterhavet Holding A/S owns, after completion of rights issue and directed issue in DFDS A/S on 12 July 2010, 5,342,665 shares in DFDS A/S, corresponding to DKK 534,266,500, nominal value, and 36 % of the share capital of DFDS A/S and thus also of the votes of DFDS A/S."
