VENTUREX TO CLOSE BRAZILIAN GOLD EXPLORATION SUBSIDIARY

Venturex Resources Limited (“Venturex” or “the Company”) (ASX: VXR) advises that the Board has resolved to withdraw from all gold exploration activities in Brazil and proceed with the closure of wholly owned subsidiary CMG Mineração Ltda.

This decision is in response to the continuing difficult market conditions for greenfields gold exploration assets which has rendered the Company’s efforts to attract a partner for the Brazilian activities unsuccessful.

The Company will continue to focus its efforts on the exploration of its flagship copper-zinc assets in the Pilbara region while continuing to evaluate the future development of the proposed Cu-Zn Project at the Sulphur Springs site.
