At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG
appointed Simone Menne as Chief Financial Officer for a period of three
years, effective 1 July 2012. Simone Menne joined Lufthansa in 1989 and held
various management positions in the Lufthansa Group before her latest
position as CFO of British Midland Ltd. She will succeed Stephan Gemkow, who
in mutual agreement is stepping down as Chief Financial Officer on 30 June
2012 and moving to Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH.
