Completion of paper transaction

Further to the announcement of 1 February 2018, De La Rue plc ("De La Rue" or the "Group"), the world's leading security and anti-counterfeiting provider for banknotes, identity and brand protection, today announces that it has completed the sale of a 90% interest in Portals De La Rue Limited, the Group's paper business, to Epiris Fund II for a cash consideration of c£61m. The cash proceeds will initially be used to reduce the Group's debt.

The Board believes the transaction provides an opportunity to create greater long term value for its shareholders by enabling De La Rue to focus on its strategy of driving growth organically and through partnerships and acquisitions.
