ANNOUNCEMENT

ISSUANCE OF THE THIRD TRANCHE SUPER SHORT-TERM COMMERCIAL PAPER FOR THE YEAR OF 2021

This announcement is made by Datang Environment Industry Group Co., Ltd. (the “ Company ”) pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ Listing Rules ”) and the Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Reference is made to the supplemental circular of the extraordinary general meeting of the Company dated 16 November 2018 (the “ Circular ”) and the announcement on poll results of the extraordinary general meeting dated 30 November 2018. Unless otherwise specified, the terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Circular.

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors (the “ Directors ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that the Company has completed the issuance of the third tranche super short-term commercial paper for the year of 2021 (the “ SCP ”) on 2 July 2021 and received the proceeds from such issuance on 5 July 2021. The ultimate issue size of the SCP is RMB500 million, with a term of 270 days, a face value of RMB100, and an issuing rate of 2.69%. Date of value is 5 July 2021.

The SCP was publicly issued to qualified investors, with Bank of Jiangsu Co., Ltd.* ( 江蘇銀行股份有限公司 ) as the lead underwriter and bookrunner. The proceeds from the SCP, after deducting issue expenses, is proposed to be used for repayment of interest-bearing liabilities.
