How can India have two laws? Modi''s pitch for UCC

n Tuesday, Prime Minister (PM) O Narendra Modi pitched for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), accusing Opposition parties of "provoking" Muslims on the issue, stressing how these parties have ensured that most Muslim families lead lives of misery without jobs and education.

Modi said Muslims needed to understand that parties use them as vote banks by exploiting their emotions, just as they provoke them on the common code. He asked how a country can run if there are twolaws. Modi said the Constitution talks about implementing a UCC, and the Supreme Court flagged its need.

He also reached out to Muslim women, slamming those who opposed the abaolition of triple talaq when several Islamic countries, including Egypt, a "90 per cent Sunni country" that he recently visited, have abolished it. Days after being questioned on the alleged discrimination against Muslims, the PM asserted thatall had access to his government's welfare schemes, including backward Muslims, known as Pasmandas, whom the elite of their community has exploited.

Modi announced that his government would soon roll out the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, which he said was announced in the 2023-24 Union Budget. The objective of the scheme is to assist artisans.

In a113-minute interactive session in Bhopal, the capital of poll-bound Madhya Pradesh (MP), with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) booth workers, which an estimated 1 million BJP workers joined via videoconferencing from across the country, Modi charted the contours of the party's election discourse for the next nine months.

Modi said the BJP worked on santushtikaran, the satisfaction of all, not tushtikaran, the appeasement of some. Modi urged party workers to reach out to Pasmanda Muslims with facts and arguments to convince them that all, including Muslims, had access to his government's welfare schemes. Modi avoided describing welfare schemes proposed by Opposition parties as revdi, or freebies, and instead detailed the savings that have accrued to the poor, middle class, and farmers because of his government's schemes. While referring to the lot of Pasmandas, Modi also listed a dozen of these castes, such as cobblers and weavers. Incidentally, the Vishwakarma scheme, once rolled out, will benefit several of these castes.

CAG toaudit 'irregularities' in renovation of Delhi CM house

The Central government has initiated a special audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India into alleged irregularities in the reconstruction of the Delhi chief minister's residence, the latestin the series of friction points between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Officials at Delhi Lieutenant Govemor V K Saxena office said on Tuesday the Union home ministry has recommended the special CAG audit taking note of a May 24 letter by the LG which pointed out the "gross and prima facie financial irregularities" in the reconstruction of Arvind Kejriwal's official residence.

While the BJP welcomed the move, the AAP reacted furiously claiming a CAG audit was already conducted last year when "no evidence of financial irregularities" was found. The latest

GENERAL COMMUNICATION OF TAX DEDUCTION AT SOURCE ON DIVIDEND

The board of directors in its meeting held on May 24, 2023 has recommended a divided of Rs. 13/- per equity share (650%) having a nominal value of Rs. 2/- each for the Financial Year ended March 31, 2023. The said dividend will be payable post approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the company. The Company has further fixed July 26, 2023 (Wednesday) as the record date to determine eligible shareholders entitled to receive the final dividend. Notice is hereby given that the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM)of the members of CSL Finance Limited will be held on Friday. July 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. The Notice of EGM along with login details for joining the EGM through VC / OAVM facility including e-voting has been sent on June 27, 2023 through e-mail to all those Members whose e-mail address were registered with the Company or Registrar and Share Transfer Agent or with their respective Depository Participants ("DP") in accordance with the MCA Circulars and SEBI Circular, and the same are also available on Company's website (www.cslfinance.in), Stock Exchange's website (www.nseindia.com), (www.bseindia.com) and on the website of Registrar and Share Transfer Agent at (www.massery.com).

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 108 of the Companies Act, 2013 read with rules made hereunder and Regulation 44 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Requiations, 2015, the Company is pleased to provide e-voting facility to all s members, to enable them to cast their votes electronically and has engaged the services of NSDL as the agency to provide e-voting facility. Instructions for the process to be followed for e-voting are annexed with the Notice of EGM.

The Cut-off date for the purpose of e-voting through electronic voting system is July 14, 2023 All the Members are hereby informed that: -

(I) The business as set forth in the Notice of EGM may be transacted through remote e voting or e-voting system at the EGM,
(ii) During the voting period, members can login to NSDL voting platform any number o times till they have voted on all the resolutions. Once the vote on resolutions cast by a member, whether partially or otherwise, the member shall not be allowed to change it subsequently or cast the vote again.
(iii) The e-voting period commences on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. (IST) and ends on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. (IST). During this period, members of the Company, holding shares either in physical or dematerialised form, as on the cut-off date, that is, July 14, 2023, may cast their vote electronically. The e-voting module shall be disabled by NSDL for voting thereafter.
(iv) A person who has acquired shares and becomes a member of the Company after the electronic dispatch of notice of the EGM and holding shares as of the cutoff date, may obtain the login ID and password by sending a request to [email protected] or [email protected]. However, if the person is already registered with NSDL or CDSL for remote e-voting then the existing user ID and password can be used for casting vote.

Members who are holding shares in physical form or have not registered their e-mail address with the Company/Depositories can obtain login credentials for e-voting as per the following procedure:

यहां ऊपर उल्लिखित अनुसूची में प्रत्याभूत सम्पत्तियों के समुचित विवरण का उल्लेख करते समय पर्या
प्रत्यामूत सम्पत्ति की बिक्री आरक्षित मूल्य से अधिक कीमत पर की जाएगी। नीलामी आरक्षित मूल्य से एक वृद्धि राशि से शुरू की जाएगी एव बोलीदातागण न्यूनतम रु. 10,000/- (रुपये दस हजार मात्र) की राशि वृद्धि कर स्वयं के बीच अपने प्रस्ताव में सुधार कर बोली लगाने के स्वतंत्र होंगे।

वैध गुजर आईडी एवं पासवर्ड तथा एनईएफटी/आरटीजीएस के जरिए ईएमडी का भुगतान करने के साक्ष्य रखने वाले बोलीदाताओं को ऑन लाइन
ई-शीलामी में भाग लेने की अनुमति दी जाएगी। अधिकृत अधिकारी के पास बिना कोई कारण बताए किसी भी स ्
अथवा स्वीकार करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित है l इससे अलावा अधिकृत अधिकारी के पास बिना कोई कारण बताए ई-नीलामी की प्रक्रिया समान्त होने से पहले किसी भी समय ई-नीलामी को स्थगित या रह या निलम्बित या रोकने अथवा नियम एवं शर्तों में बदलाव करने के भी अधिकार सरक्षित है तथा इस संबंध में उनका निर्णय अंतिम होगा।
अधिकृत अधिकारी के समक्ष अपने प्रस्ताव/बोली/निविदा के साथ सर्वोच्च बिक्री मूल्य प्रस्तुत करने वाले क्रेता/बोलीदाता के पक्ष में बिक्री की पुष्टी की जाएगी। हालांकि, यह सिर्फ प्रत्यामृत ऋणदाता की पृष्टी पर निर्भर होगा।
सफल बोलीदाता की बयाना राशि जमा (ईएमडी) बिक्री को रकम के हिस्से के रूप में समायोजित कर दी/रखी जाएगी। ईएमडी पर कोई ब्याज नहीं दिया जाएगा। अधिकत अधिकारी द्वारा बोली स्वीकार किए जाने पर सफल बोलीदाता को उसी दिन अथवा अगले कार्यकारी दिवस को बिकी मल्य की 25 प्रतिशत राशि, पहले से जमा की गई ईएमडी के समायोजन के बाद, जमा करनी होगी। उक्त रकम जमा करने में विफल होने पर अब तक जमा की गई रकम (ईएमडी अथवा अन्य किसी भी रूप में) कंपनी डारा जब्त कर ली जाएगी एवं अधिकत अधिकारी सम्पत्ति को दोबारा बिक्री करने के लिए मक्त होंगे।
।0. सिर्फ 25 प्रतिशत की राशि जमा करने से ही सफल बोलीदाता अपने पक्ष में बिक्री की पुष्टी के हकदार नहीं हो जाएंगे। बिक्री अधिकृत अधिकारी/ प्रत्यामूत ऋणदाता की पुष्टी पर निर्भर होगी।

की पुनः नीलाम की जाएगी एवं विफल बोलीदाता के पास सम्पत्ति पर अथवा उसके किसी भी रकम पर कोई भी दावा/अधिकार

होगा, इच्छुक बोलीदाता को सम्पत्ति के संबंध में किसी भी तरह के ऋणभार के साथ सम्पत्ति कर के संविध .
राशि/शुल्क/वैध अधिकार इत्यादि यथा देनदारियों/ऋण भार के बारे में स्वतंत्र जांच कराने की सलाह दी जाती है, जिसका वहन सिर्फ क्रेता को करना होगा
।6. बोलीदाता को पर्याप्त इंटरनेट की कनेक्टिविटी, विद्युत की व्यवस्था इत्यादि स्वयं करनी होगी। "पूनावाला फिनकॉर्प लिमिटेड" अथवा पीएफएल, अधिकृत अधिकारी/ऑनलाइन नीलामी सेवा प्रदाता इंटरनेट की खराबी, बिजली गुल होने के कारण अथवा किसी भी तकनीकी गड़बड़ी अथवा ई-नीलामी की प्रक्रिया में होने वाली रूकावट के लिए जिम्मेदार नहीं होगा।
।7 असफल बोलीदाता की ईएमडी बिना किसी ब्याज के नीलामी बिक्री की प्रक्रिया के समाप्त होने के 15 कार्यकारी दिनों के अंदर वापस कर दं जाएगी। इस संबंध में उक्त बोलीदाता किसी भी प्रकृति का कोई भी दावा नहीं कर सकते हैं।
1. भलीमांति तरीके से नहीं भरे गए प्रस्ताव/बोलियां अथवा ईएमडी या आवश्यक दस्तावेज संलग्न नहीं रहने पर अथवा नीलामी बिक्री की सूचना मे निर्धारित तारीख एवं समय के उपरांत प्राप्त प्रस्तावों/बोलियों को अवैध माना जाएगा तथा उसे तत्काल रद्द कर दिया जाएगा तथा आवेदक/बोलीदात इस संबंध में पूनावाला फिनकॉर्प लिमिटेड (पूर्व में मैगमा फिनकॉर्प लिमिटेड के नाम से ज्ञात) अथवा अधिकृत अधिकारी के खिलाफ कोई दावा नर्ह कर सकते हैं।
1. अधिकृत अधिकारी के पास बिना कोई कारण बताए किसी या सभी बोलियों को स्वीकार अथवा रद करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित है। इस तरह के निर्णर के संबंध में कंपनी अथवा अधिकृत अधिकारी के खिलाफ कोई दावा नहीं किया जा सकता है।
1. इच्छुक बोलीदाता ई-नीलामी प्रक्रिया में सम्पूर्ण रूप से अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार माग लेना होगा तथा पूनावाला फिनकॉर्प लिमिटेड/पीएफएल
  (पूर्व में मैगमा फिनकॉर्प लिमिटेड के नाम से ज्ञात) के किसी भी अधिकारी के दवाब एवं प्रभाव म से सम्पूर्ण रूप से अवगत हैं। इस संबंध में इच्छुक बोलीदाता को पीएचएफएल/पीएफएल अथवा उनके अधिकृत अधिकारी से कोई सहायता प्राप नहीं करना होगा एवं उक्त रकम पर ब्याज से संबंधित अथवा यहां ऊपर उल्लेखित ब्यौरे को छोड़कर जमा वापस पाने के हकदार नहीं होगे।

21. ईएमडी जमा की तारीख एवं ई-नीलामी की तारीख को छुट्टी का दिन घोषित होने पर संबंधित तारीख स्वतः अगले कार्यकारी दिवस में रूपांतरित कर दी जाएगी।
