Compumedics Appoints Michael Stone as Chief Commercial Officer, USA

Seasoned medtech commercial leader joins to accelerate US growth across sleep diagnostics and neurodiagnostics

BUSINESS UPDATE

Compumedics Limited (ASX: CMP), a global leader in sleep diagnostics and neurodiagnostic technology, recently appointed Mike Stone as Chief Commercial Officer for its US operations. Mike brings over 20 years of medical device commercial leadership, with a proven record of scaling sales organizations, retaining key talent through M&A transitions, and integrating acquired businesses. Since joining, he has already strengthened the U.S. team with several high-caliber hires, with additional key appointments underway. Mike is charged with two strategic priorities: building out Compumedics' US neurodiagnostics business and strengthening the sleep and IDTF commercial teams to support continued growth, including Somfit, the company's EEG-enabled home sleep testing platform.

Executive Chairman Dr. David Burton commented:

"Mike brings exactly the commercial depth and leadership experience we need at this stage of our US growth. His track record of scaling teams, leading organizations through significant transitions, and driving results across neurodiagnostics and sleep makes him the right person to lead this next chapter for Compumedics in the US."

Mike joins from Baxter International, where he led commercial operations spanning alternate site distribution and pharmaceutical manufacturing channels. Prior to Baxter, he served as Vice President of Sales at Smiths Medical, managing a $500M+ P&L and holding the commercial organization together through its acquisition by ICU Medical. Earlier in his career, Mike led post-acquisition integration and team building across multiple transactions at Henry Schein, the Fortune 250 healthcare products and distribution leader. His tenure as Vice President of Sales for Neurology at Nihon Kohden gives him direct domain experience in EEG, sleep diagnostics, and software sales, where he transformed an underperforming business and drove strong double-digit growth sustained over multiple years.

Chief Commercial Officer, Compumedics USA Mike Stone commented:

"Compumedics has built something genuinely differentiated, an EEG-enabled home sleep platform in Somfit, a world-class neuro hardware line, and Nexus 360 to tie it together. Somfit is exceptionally well positioned for where the HST market and reimbursement landscape are heading. The priority now is expanding our commercial reach, serving more patients and providers across the US, and driving meaningful growth. I'm looking forward to engaging with current and future customers at SLEEP 2026 in Baltimore later this month as we continue to build momentum in the market."

Mike holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a BS from the University of South Florida. He is based in Wellington, Florida.
