COMPASS GROUP PLC

Compass Group PLC has today made application to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block listing of 12,500,000 ordinary shares of 10p each to be admitted to the Official List.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company and will be issued in connection with the future exercise of options granted and awards made under the terms of the Company's share plans, specifically over 4,500,000 shares in respect of the Compass Group Share Option Plan 2010 and 4,000,000 shares in respect of each of the Compass Group Management Share Option Plan and the Compass Group Long Term Incentive Plan.
