Paris Olympic Games 2024: Colas wins a contract for logistic flow management

Mobility by Colas, the Colas Group's digital mobility services integrator and operator, has signed a framework contract with the Olympic Structure Delivery Company (SOLIDEO) to design, roll out and operate "last mile" logistic flows for a minimum of 15 months, using the Qievo solution.

As part of the framework contract, Mobility by Colas is in charge of organizing the "last mile" logistic flows for construction projects in the Athletes Village, located in the towns of Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis and L'Ile-Saint-Denis, just to the north of Paris. Mobility by Colas will assist companies involved in the actual construction or other related projects in organizing "just-in-time" delivery flows aimed to reduce disruption, nuisance and impact in the neighborhoods concerned.

To coordinate the organization of deliveries as closely as possible to business needs, Mobility by Colas will use Qievo, a solution designed to optimize mobility around construction sites in dense urban areas. This solution is a digital service based on a central control station operated by agents in constant contact with the sites and the deliverers. It uses an ecosystem approach to manage logistics, traffic and infrastructure as a whole.

By regulating "last mile" flows, Qievo will help reduce the projects' impact, in particular on the quality of life for local residents and on the environment. It will provide:

  • improved safety for local residents and drivers / deliverers,
  • better air quality and a reduced carbon footprint,
  • less nuisance caused by deliveries,
  • calmer traffic environment for urban mobility.

We are proud to have been chosen by SOLIDEO to design and manage work flows for the future Athletes' Village. Designed to help ease acceptance from local residents and also play a role in transforming the communities, Qievo is based on a multi-site approach aimed at preserving mobility around large urban jobsites. It is an integrated solution, that can be tailormade to fit with any project, no matter the size, including temporary rights-of-way. It has already made a name for itself in the Part-Dieu district of Lyon,France where SPL Lyon Part-Dieu has been operating Qievo under the name Reguly since September 2019 ", explains Fabrice Luriot, Director of Mobility by Colas.

Mobility by Colas is a division of the Colas Group that provides tailor-made, digital- and data-based services. The unit works as a team with stakeholders in a community to achieve shared objectives: make the community more attractive, optimize mobility in urban and rural areas, improve road safety, manage the first and last miles, etc. To encourage the ecological and energy transition, Mobility by Colas provides each customer with integrated CSR & business indicators, all designed to measure the positive impact of actions in the community.
