Re-designation of Dr Lin Yucheng as a Non-Executive Director of the Group and Appointment of Mr Hao Weibao as Group CEO

As at the date of this announcement, the executive directors of CITIC Limited are Mr Chang Zhenming (Chairman), Mr Wang Jiong, Ms Li Qingping and Mr Pu Jian; the non-executive directors of CITIC Limited are Mr Liu Yeqiao, Mr Song Kangle, Ms Yan Shuqin, Mr Liu Zhuyu, Mr Liu Zhongyuan, Mr Yang Xiaoping and Mr Wu Youguang; and the independent non-executive directors of CITIC Limited are Mr Francis Siu Wai Keung, Dr Xu Jinwu, Mr Anthony Francis Neoh, Ms Lee Boo Jin, Mr Paul Chow Man Yiu and Mr Shohei Harada.

Re-designation of Dr Lin Yucheng as a Non-Executive Director of the Group and Appointment of Mr Hao Weibao as Group CEO

The Board of Directors (“Board”) of CITIC Envirotech Ltd (“CEL”, “Group” or “Company”) wishes to announce that Dr Lin Yucheng has been re-designated as a NonExecutive Director of the Group with effect from 1 June 2018. Mr Hao Weibao, currently Executive Chairman of CEL will succeed Dr Lin Yucheng as the Company’s new Group Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”).

Dr Lin is the founder of CEL and he has held the position of CEO since the Company’s inception in 2003. He has played a critical role in the development and success of the Group. Dr Lin has indicated his intention to step down as the CEO of the Group due to personal reasons. While he will not be overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Group, Dr Lin will remain as non-executive Director and will be appointed Advisor to serve CEL with his unique insights and inspiration.

“On behalf of the Board and management, I sincerely thank Dr Lin for the dedicated service, his exceptional leadership and invaluable contributions to the Group. He has attracted and inspired CEL executive teams and employees. Dr Lin’s 15 years of service to CEL have been marked by outstanding performance. He has demonstrated remarkable talent and skill in guiding CEL to its position as a leading integrated environmental service provider in China”, said Mr Hao Weibao, “We look forward to his continued contribution in his new role”.

“The decision is not an easy one as I have devoted my every effort in the past 2 decades of my life into developing CEL, the Company I founded in 2003. I am extremely proud of what CEL has achieved and the team I have built”, said Dr Lin, “But it is my personal belief that it is time for me to step aside from the day-to-day operation and hand over the control of the company to Mr Hao who was appointed to the Board as Executive Chairman in April 2015. I congratulate him on his appointment and I believe that under Mr Hao’s leadership, CEL will be well-steered in its next phase of growth. I want to give my deepest gratitude to my fellow board members for their support, the management and staff of CEL for their dedication and contributions over the years”.
