RESIGNATION OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors of CITIC Pacific Limited announces that Mr Peter Lee Chung Hing has tendered his resignation as Executive Director and Deputy Managing Director of CITIC Pacific Limited with effect from 1 April 2010 as he will retire from CITIC Pacific group.

The Board of Directors (“the Board”) of CITIC Pacific Limited (“CITIC Pacific”) announces that Mr Peter Lee Chung Hing has tendered his resignation as Executive Director and Deputy Managing Director of CITIC Pacific with effect from 1 April 2010 as he will retire from CITIC Pacific group. Mr Lee has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and there is no matter relating to his resignation that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of CITIC Pacific.

Mr Lee has been a Director of CITIC Pacific since 1990, transferring from CITIC Hong Kong (Holdings) Limited which he joined in 1988, and has been Deputy Managing Director of CITIC Pacific since 1994. He has provided valuable service and support to CITIC Pacific during his tenure of office. The Board expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr Lee for his service and valuable contributions made to CITIC Pacific.

As at the date hereof, the executive directors of CITIC Pacific are Messrs Chang Zhenming (Chairman), Zhang Jijing, Peter Lee Chung Hing, Carl Yung Ming Jie, Vernon Francis Moore, Li Shilin, Liu Jifu, Milton Law Ming To, Wang Ande and Kwok Man Leung; the non-executive directors of CITIC Pacific are Messrs Willie Chang, André Desmarais, Ju Weimin, Yin Ke and Peter Kruyt (alternate director to Mr André Desmarais); and the independent non-executive directors of CITIC Pacific are Messrs Alexander Reid Hamilton, Hansen Loh Chung Hon and Norman Ho Hau Chong.
