VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of China Maple Leaf Educational Systems Limited (the “ Company ”) is pleased to announce that, with effect from 1 March 2016, Mr. Edward John Slade (“ Mr. Slade ”) has been appointed as president of Asia Pacific and vice president of the Company primarily responsible for group business development and strategy.

Mr. Slade, aged 49, has more than 25 years of experience in investment banking. During his tenure with international investment banks, he had advised a number of educational groups on their capital markets and merger and acquisitions. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Slade worked at Flemings, BZW, Credit Suisse First Boston, ABN Amro Rothschild and CITIC CLSA. Mr. Slade graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class honors degree in Modern Languages and Philosophy.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Slade on his new appointment.
