PERSONNEL APPOINTMENTS

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors (the “ Directors ” and each a “ Director ”) of China Maple Leaf Educational Systems Limited (the “ Company ”), together with its subsidiaries (the “ Group ”), is pleased to announce the following:

Personnel Appointments

• 1. Mr. Shu Liang Sherman Jen, the chairman of the Board, executive Director and the chief executive officer of the Company, has been appointed as president of China operations of the Company with effect from 1 September 2016;
• 1. Mr. Robert William Gardner, the superintendent of British Columbia program in the People’s Republic of China (“ PRC ”) of the Company, has been appointed as vice president of China operations of the Company with effect from 1 September 2016; and
• 1. Ms. Fan Guijie has also been appointed as vice president of China operations of the Company with effect from 1 September 2016.

Appointment of President of China Operations

The Board is pleased to announce that Mr. Shu Liang Sherman Jen (“ Mr. Jen ”), the chairman of the Board, has, as part of his duties as the chief executive officer of the Company, assumed the role of president of China operations of the Company with effect from 1 September 2016. In addition to Mr. Jen’s existing responsibilities as chief executive officer to execute the Group’s development strategies and manage the Group’s overall business operations, he will also oversee and manage the operations of the Group’s schools in the PRC.

Mr. Jen’s background was fully disclosed to the public in the Company’s previous announcements.

Appointment of Vice President of China Operations

The Board is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert William Gardner (“ Mr. Gardner ”), the superintendent of British Columbia program in the PRC of the Company, has been appointed as vice president of China operations of the Company with effect from 1 September 2016. Mr. Gardner will be primarily responsible for the administration and inspection of the Group’s British Columbia program in the PRC, teaching evaluation and staff recruitment.

Mr. Gardner’s background was fully disclosed in the Company’s previous announcement of his appointment as superintendent.

Appointment of Vice President of China Operations

The Board is pleased to announce that Ms. Fan Guijie (“ Ms. Fan ”) has been appointed as vice president of China operations of the Company with effect from 1 September 2016. Ms. Fan will be primarily responsible for human resources and legal affairs of the Company’s schools in the PRC.

Ms. Fan is a PRC qualified lawyer. She has been the legal adviser to Dalian Maple Leaf Educational Group Co. Ltd. since 2011. In June 2014, she established the Group’s legal department and served as its first director. Ms. Fan was appointed chief legal officer in the PRC of the Company in November 2015 and was responsible for drawing up and implementing policies regarding legal governance and intellectual property protection for the Company’s schools in the PRC.

Ms. Fan received a Bachelor’s degree from the Harbin University of Science and Technology in 1989. Prior to joining the Group, she has worked as a partner in a law firm as well as an in-house legal adviser in two corporations and a government authority.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Jen, Mr. Gardner and Ms. Fan on their new appointments.
