APPOINTMENT OF VICE PRESIDENT, HEAD OF INVESTOR RELATIONS AND JOINT COMPANY SECRETARY

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of China Maple Leaf Educational Systems Limited (the “ Company ”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Chi Hung Lau (“ Mr. Lau ”) has been appointed as a joint company secretary of the Company with effect from 1 September 2015. Ms. Wai Ling Chan, the existing company secretary of the Company, will continue to act as the other joint company secretary of the Company.

In line with the corporate development and the business expansion of the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively the “ Group ”), Mr. Lau was appointed by the Group in August 2015 as vice president and head of investor relations primarily responsible for investor relations and corporate finance affairs of the Company.

Mr. Lau, aged 45, has over 20 years of experience in investor relations, financial management, accounting, auditing, company secretarial affairs and corporate finance including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining the Group, Mr. Lau had mainly held senior finance positions in several companies whose shares are listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ Stock Exchange ”) and had also worked in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu where the last position he served was manager. In particular, during the period from 1 January 2011 to 31 August 2015, Mr. Lau worked for Trigiant Group Limited (whose shares are listed in the Stock Exchange) where the positions he had served include group chief financial officer and company secretary.

Mr. Lau graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a master’s degree in business administration from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Mr. Lau is a Certified Public Accountant (Practising) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, an Associate and a Certified Tax Adviser of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. Mr. Lau is also an Associate of both The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in the United Kingdom.
