Appointment of Senior Independent Director

In accordance with UK Listing Rule 9.6.11, Centrica announces that Kevin O'Byrne has been appointed as Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 June 2022.

Kevin has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since May 2019.  He is the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and a member of the Nomination Committee.

This announcement follows the Company's previous announcement on 17 January 2022 that Stephen Hester, current Senior Independent Director, will stand down from the Board at the conclusion of Company's 2022 Annual General Meeting having served 6 years on the Company's Board.
