Remarks:

(1) Certain comparative figures for operating profit have been
reclassified in order to present better the results and financial
condition of the Group.

(2) The turnover and profit from operations of HK$157.7 million and
HK$71.5 million for the half-year period ended 30th June, 2002
respectively and HK$196.7 million and HK$83.8 million for the last
corresponding period respectively were all generated from continuing
operations.

(3) The calculation of earnings per share is based on earnings for the
period of HK$57.4 million (2001: HK$63.6 million) and on 315.0 million
(2001: 315.0 million) ordinary shares in issue during the period. For the
period under review and the preceding comparative period, there is no
difference between the basic and diluted earnings per share.
