Boss Resources Limited is pleased to announce that it has commenced a 14 hole, 300m diamond drilling program at the China Bush prospect on its Latrobe Project, Tasmania (Fig. 1). The drilling is being conducted by Spaulding Drillers Pty Ltd.
The program has been designed to allow accurate oil shale thickness, density and other physical and chemical properties to be determined, and will increase the drill‐hole density enough to allow an indicated inventory resource estimation to be reported for the prospect.
The oil shale throughout the tenement is a flat lying sedimentary unit with an average thickness of ~1.3m. The China Flat prospect is one of eight oil shale prospects within the Latrobe tenement. The Project has an exploration target between 20 million and 70 million tonnes of oil shale which equates to between 14 million and 48 million barrels of oil.
