Completion of the sale of the New Saraji Coal project

New Hope Corporation Limited (NHC) is pleased to announce that the previously advised sale of the New Saraji Coal project to the BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) for $2.45 billion was completed today.

The Board of NHC is currently undertaking an assessment of its capital structure and considering the potential uses of the proceeds from the sale.

NHC will announce the Company’s 2008 full year results on Tuesday 23[rd] September.
