Result of Annual General Meeting and

Update re Kallak North Test Mining Operations

Beowulf (AIM: BEM; Aktietorget: BEO), the mineral exploration company focused on developing its Kallak North and Kallak South iron ore deposits in northern Sweden, announces that the resolutions proposed at the Company's Annual General Meeting held earlier today, as set out in the notice dated 10 June 2013, were all duly approved by shareholders.

Kallak North Test Mining

Further to the announcement of 8 May 2013, the Company also announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Jokkmokk Iron Mines AB, has now commenced its preliminary test mining fieldwork on a defined area of the Kallak North deposit.

The test mining operations will include, inter alia, limited forest clearing, till removal, the cleaning of exposed bedrock (for geological mapping), drilling and blasting of 16 test pits and road transport by truck of approximately 400 tonnes of mineralised material to a pilot plant in Finland. To date, all five of the trenches planned for the fieldwork, totaling 300 metres in length, have been completed to expose the mineralised bedrock as expected. The sampling of mineralised material for metallurgical test work will guide and facilitate the design of future mineral processing procedures and facilities, as well as generating final product samples for testing by potential future customers.

Clive Sinclair-Poulton, Executive Chairmanof Beowulf,commented:

"I am pleased that we are making good progress with our scheduled test mining operations at Kallak North despite the recent presence of certain protestors at the site.

"We fully respect Swedish citizens' rights to express their views in a peaceful manner and remain committed to working closely with the local communities as we seek to minimise the impact of our targeted fieldwork activities whilst progressing the development of our promising Kallak iron ore project."
