Re: Board Appointment

A.G. BARR p.l.c., which produces and markets some of the UK's leading drink brands, including IRN-BRU, Rubicon, Strathmore and Funkin, announces that Susan Barratt will join the Board as an independent non-executive director with effect from 28 January 2018.

Susan is currently CEO of Natures Way Foods Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of convenience foods, a role she has successfully held for 10 years. Following her BA in Economics from Reading University Susan qualified as a chartered accountant and has spent much of her career in financial roles including senior finance roles in Whitbread plc, Laurel Pub Company and Eldridge Pope where she moved from Finance Director to CEO.

Commenting on the appointment John Nicolson, Chairman said:

"We look forward to welcoming Susan to our Board in January 2018. Susan brings a wealth of valuable experience in the UK customer space and will support the continued development of our Board capabilities."

No other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to Susan Barratt's appointment as a non-executive director of the Company.
