અમેરિકાએ ભારતમાંથી અમેરિકામાં નિકાસ થનારા નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડ્સ પર ઝીરો ટકા ટેરિફની જાહેરાત કરી અને હજુ તો ઝીરો ટેરિફ ક્યારથી અમલ થશે એની તારીખ સુદ્ધાં નક્કી નથી આમ છતાં સુરતનાં હીરાબજારમાં છેલ્લા એક સપ્તાહમાં મોટી હલચલ મચી ગઇ છે.

ડાયમંડ્સનાં ૩૧પ ઇમ્પોર્ટેડ પાર્સેલોનું ક્લીયરન્સ કસ્ટમ્સ વિભાગે કર્યું છે, જેની સામે લેંબગ્રોન રફ ડાયમંડ્સનાં પાર્સલોની સંખ્યા માત્ર ૮૪ હતી, જે ઇમ્પોર્ટેડ નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડુસની ઇન્વેન્ટરી કરતા માંડ ૨૬ ટકા જેટલી થવા જાય છે.

પ્રાપ્ત માહિતી અનુસાર પાંડેસરા | વિસ્તારમાં પ્રેમ નગરમાં રહેતી ૨૬ વર્ષીય ડિવોર્સી માતા પૂનમ તાયડે છેલ્લા કેટલાક સમયથી તેના પિયરમાં માતા અને ભાઈ સાથે રહેતી હતી. ઘટનાના દિવસે સવારે પૂનમનો ભાઈ કોઈ કામ અર્થે ઘરેથી બહાર ગયો હતો. સવાર પૂનમ તાયડ પાતાના ચાર વર્ષના વહાલસોયા પુત્ર સિવાઈને ગળાફાંસો આપી પોતે પણ ફાંસો ખાઈ આપઘાત કરી લીધો હતો. પૂનમનો ભાઈ કોઈ કામ અર્થે ઘરેથી બહાર ગયો હતો. સવારે અંદાજે ૧૧ વાગ્યે જ્યારે તે પોતાનું મોબાઈલ ચાર્જર લેવા માટે અચાનક ઘરે પરત ફર્યો ત્યારે ઘરનું દેશ્ય જોઈ તેના પગ નીચેથી જમીન સરકી ગઈ હતી. પૂનમે પાંચ વર્ષ પહેલાં અમદાવાદમાં રહેતા અને કાપડની દુકાનમાં નોકરી કરતા કરણ શાહ સાથે પ્રેમલગ્ન કર્યા હતા. સગર્ભાવસ્થા દરમિયાન પણ તેની યોગ્ય સંભાળ રાખવાને બદલે તેને પિયર મોકલી દેવામાં આવી હતી. માતા ઉષાબેને જણાવ્યું કે મારી દીકરી ક્યારેય અમારા પર બોજ બનવા માગતી નહોતી, પણ તેનાં સાસરિયાંએ તેને જીવવા જેવી છોડી નહોતી. આપઘાતના બનવ અંગે ઉમરા પોલીસને જાણ કરાતા પોલીસે આગળની કાર્યવાહી સાથે વધુ તપાસ શરૂ કરી હતી, પોલીસના કહેવા મુજબ છૂટાછેડા બાદ તણાવ અને ભરણપોષણને લઈ મહિલાએ અંતિમ પગલું ભર્યું હોવાની શક્યતા છે. મૃતકની માતા ઉષાબેનના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, પૂનમના આ આત્મઘાતી પગલા પાછળ તેનાં સાસરિયાં જવાબદાર છે. પુનમની માતાએ આક્ષેપ કર્યો છે કે તેની નણંદ તેને ખૂબ જ હેરાન કરતી હતી. ઘરના તમામ નિર્ણયો નણંદ જ લેતી હતી અને સાસુ તથા પતિ પણ તેની જ વાત માનતાં હતાં. તેમણે વધુમાં જણાવ્યું હતું|ક પૂનમના પતિ કરણ શાહ ક્યારેય તેની પત્નીનો પક્ષ લેતા નહોતા. ઊલટાનું, નણંદના કહેવા પર તે પૂનમ સાથે ઝઘડા કરતા અને છૂટાછેડા લેવા સુધીનું

પરથી થઇ રહ્યા છે.

મળતી માહિતી મુજબ છેલ્લા સાત જ દિવસમાં સુરત કસ્ટમ્સ વિભાગે નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડ્સનાં જે પાર્સલો ક્લીયર કર્યા છે, તેના પરથી એવું સ્પષ્ટ જણાય છે કે લેબગ્રોન રફ ડાયમંડ્સ કરતા નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડ્સની ઇન્વેન્ટરી વધી છે. ગઇ છેલ્લા સાત દિવસમાં સુરતમાં નેચરલ તા.૭મી ફેબ્રુઆરીએ સુરત કસ્ટમ્સ વિભાગે નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડ્સનાં કુલ ૬૯ પાર્સલોને ક્લીયરન્સ આપ્યું હતું. તા.૯મીને સોમવારે નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડ્સનાં ૮૦ પાર્સલો, તા.૧૦મીને મંગળવારે ૮ પાર્સલો. તા.૧૧મીને બધવારે ૬૯ પાર્સલો તા.૧૨મીને ગુરુવારે પ૨ પાર્સલો અને આજે તા.૧૩મી ફેબ્રુઆરીને શુક્રવારે નેચરલ રફ ડાયમંડ્સના ૩૭ પાર્સલો મળીને કસ્ટમ વિભાગે છેલ્લા સાત જ દિવસમાં કુલ ૩૧૫ પાર્સલો ક્લીયર કર્યા હતા.
