Extraordinary General Meeting

I am writing to notify you that the Company will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") which will be held at the Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London EC2Y 8DS on Wednesday 4 May 2011 at 12.30 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as Aviva's annual general meeting convened for 11.00 a.m. on the same day and at the same place shall have concluded or been adjourned). If you are unable to attend in person, a webcast of the formal business of the meeting will be available to view on the Company's website at www.aviva.com/egm after the EGM.

Documents available to view and download on the Aviva website

The Circular to shareholders providing details of the transaction proposed and which contains the Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting ("Notice of EGM") is now available to view and download from the Aviva website at www.aviva.com/egm. The resolution to be proposed at the EGM can be found on the enclosed voting card(s) with more details provided in the Notice of EGM. You can cast your vote either online at www.aviva.com/egm or by using the voting card(s) enclosed with this notification. Whether you vote online or by post, your instruction must be received by no later than 12.30 p.m. on Thursday 28 April 2011.

Please note that you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer, or any other web enabled device, to download documents from the Aviva website.
