Atria to sell the Falbygdens cheese business in Sweden to Arla

Seinäjoki, Finland, 2014-10-16 13:00 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Atria Plc, 16 October 2014 at 14.00 pm, Company Announcement Atria to sell the Falbygdens cheese business in Sweden to Arla Atria focuses on its core business in Sweden and therefore Atria Sverige AB has made an agreement to sell the Falbygdens cheese business to Arla Foods AB. According to the acquisition agreement Arla Foods AB will gain ownership of the Falbygdens cheese business including its approximately 100 employees, the production plant in Falköping and the Falbygdens brand. The divestment will reduce Atria's net sales by approximately EUR 52 million and the EBIT by approximately EUR 3 million. The closing of the deal is subject to the approval of the Swedish Competition Authority. The deal is expected to close in the beginning of 2015.
