Artemis Resources Limited ( Artemis ) (ASX:ARV) is pleased to announce that the Company has received all subscription monies in connection with the placement announced 17 September 2009 and that the first tranche of the shares was allotted today.

Under the placement, 48,109,640 fully paid ordinary shares were applied for at $0.05 per share raising $2,405,982 before costs. Investors in the placement will be issued one free option for each two shares acquired through the placement process (being a total of 24,054,820 options). The options will have an exercise price of $0.05 and an expiry date of 11 June 2011.

Artemis has today allotted the first tranche of 11,786,861 shares (corresponding to the balance of Artemis’ 15% placement authority at the placement price) to subscribers in the placement, representing proceeds of $589,343.

The issue of the second tranche of 36,322,779 shares (the balance of the placement shares) and the issue of the free attaching options are subject to shareholder approval at the general meeting of Artemis to be held on 7 October 2009.
