Paula Dwyer to join ANZ Board
The Chairman of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, John Morschel, today announced the appointment of Paula Dwyer to the ANZ Board of Directors.
Ms Dwyer is one of Australia’s leading non-executive directors. She has an accounting and finance background serving on the audit and risk committees of a number of major Australian boards and having previously held senior executive roles in investment management, corporate finance and accountancy.
Ms Dwyer is currently Chairman of Tabcorp Holdings Limited and a Director of Leighton Holdings Limited. She is also a Member of the Takeovers Panel. Previously, Ms Dwyer has been a Director of Suncorp Group Limited, Foster’s Group Limited, Astro Japan Property Group Limited and David Jones Limited.
“I am delighted to have Paula join the Board. She has extensive experience in financial services and a strong accounting background. I am sure she will make an outstanding contribution to the Board,” Mr Morschel said.
Ms Dwyer’s appointment is effective from 1 April 2012 and she will stand for election at the next ANZ Annual General Meeting in December 2012.
