Anoto establishes a Joint Venture in Asia for product and business development

Lund, July 26, 2011 – Anoto has established a joint venture, Pen Generations Inc., in Asia together with TStudy, a subsidiary of TStone Corp. and Amicus Wireless Technology, a subsidiary of SOLiD Technologies Inc. traded on the Seoul Stock Exchange. Pen Generations Inc. will be head quartered in Seongnam, Korea.

Pen Generations Inc. will develop digital pens, components and other products based on Anoto technology that primarily will be sold through Anoto and TStudy. The joint venture will also develop Anoto's business in Asia and sell products based on Anoto technology direct to customers and partners. TStudy's license to develop digital pens is transferred to Pen Generations Inc.

Anoto licenses its technology to Pen Generations Inc. and will initially hold 19% of the shares in the company. TStudy and Amicus Wireless Technology will initially each hold 40,5% of the shares. TStudy and Amicus Wireless Technology will finance Pen Generations Inc. and its operations. Anoto has a call option to acquire shares from TStudy and Amicus Wireless Technology in 2014 to increase its ownership to 51% of the shares in Pen Genrations Inc.
