RESULTS OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS

The Directors of Alkane Resources Ltd wish to advise that all resolutions as per the notice of meeting were passed on a show of hands at the general meeting of shareholders held today.

In accordance with the Corporations Act the following information is provided:

1. Valid proxy votes received in relation to advisory resolution 1 to receive and adopt the remuneration report for the period ended 30 June 2013 were:

   • a) 75,870,926 proxy votes in total;

   • b) 74,233,045 votes in favour of the resolution;

   • c) 1,053,310 votes against the resolution;

   • d) 363,036 abstentions; and

   • e) 221,535 votes at the discretion of proxy holders.

2. Valid proxy votes received in relation to ordinary resolution 2 to re-elect Mr J S Dunlop as a director were:

   • a) 165,103,215 proxy votes in total;

   • b) 154,418,680 votes in favour of the resolution;

   • c) 10,418,590 votes against the resolution;

   • d) 38,910 abstentions; and

   • e) 227,035 votes at the discretion of proxy holders.

1. Valid proxy votes received in relation to ordinary resolution 3 to appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers as auditors were:

   • a) 165,103,215 proxy votes in total;

   • b) 164,737,547 votes in favour of the resolution;

   • c) 17,733 votes against the resolution;

   • d) 120,900 abstentions; and

   • e) 227,035 votes at the discretion of proxy holders.

2. Valid proxy votes received in relation to ordinary resolution 4 adopt the amended performance rights plan were:

   • a) 163,060,532 proxy votes in total;

   • b) 124,653,092 votes in favour of the resolution;

   • c) 30,631,079 votes against the resolution;

   • d) 7,529,229 abstentions; and

   • e) 247,132 votes at the discretion of proxy holders.

3. Valid proxy votes received in relation to special resolution 5 to amend the Constitution by inserting rule 37 in respect of proportional takeover approval were:

   • a) 165,103,215 proxy votes in total;

   • b) 155,800,660 votes in favour of the resolution;

   • c) 9,074,820 votes against the resolution;

   • d) 4,000 abstentions; and

   • e) 223,735 votes at the discretion of proxy holders.
