Aker ASA: Frank O. Reite appointed CFO of Aker ASA

Aker ASA announced today that Frank O. Reite has been appointed chief financial

officer, effective 10 August 2015. Reite comes from the position of chief

executive officer at Akastor ASA.

"I've known Frank for 20 years," said Aker's Chief Executive Officer Øyvind

Eriksen. "He was my first choice for new CFO of Aker, first and foremost because

his competency profile will bring the CFO position closer to our portfolio

companies, where values are created and risks are managed."

Reite (44) has worked for Aker and Aker-owned companies between 1995-2004 and

since 2009. He has held a number of executive positions in the seafood, ship

building, oil services and investment segments of Aker's portfolio companies.

"Frank knows the particularities of the Aker culture well and has the confidence

of key stakeholders - two prerequisites to succeed as CFO of Aker," Eriksen

added.

Reite will replace Trond Brandsrud, who leaves Aker on 31 July 2015. Kristian

Monsen Røkke has been appointed new CEO of Akastor.

Aker will propose Reite's candidacy for election as chairman of the board of

directors of Akastor to the Company's Nomination Committee after the summer. The

proposal entails that Øyvind Eriksen steps down from his position as chairman of

the board of directors, and that Kjell Inge Røkke resigns from his position as

member of the board of directors of Akastor.
