DIRECTORATE CHANGE

AIB Group plc and Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (together the "Group" or "AIB") announce that Ms Carolan Lennon informed the Board on 24 February 2022 that she intends to resign as a Director, and as Senior Independent Director, on 30 June 2022.

The Chair, Mr Jim Pettigrew, said:

"I want to pay tribute to Carolan who is one of the Group's longest-serving Directors and has made a significant contribution to the Board since her appointment in October 2016 during which time she has served on the Board Risk Committee, the Sustainable Business Advisory Committee, and the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee. She has also performed the role of Senior Independent Director since April 2020. On behalf of the Board and the Group, I wish to record our sincere gratitude for her commitment, insights and contributions over the past number of years and wish her the very best for the future."

This announcement is made in accordance with the Euronext Listing Rule 6.1.64 and UK Listing Rule 9.6.11.
