Item 8.01. Other Events.

On February 27, 2019, Monocle Acquisition Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K, announcing that the holders of the Company’s units (the “Units”) may elect to separately trade the common stock and warrants included in the Units commencing on February 28, 2019. Those Units that are not separated will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol “MNCLU,” and each of the shares of common stock and warrants that are separated will trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbols “MNCL” and “MNCLW,” respectively.
