Multi-function enforcement contract expansion in Western Australia

Highlights

  • Expansion and extension of the agreement with the WA Road Safety Commission (originally signed in October 2024) for multi-function enforcement services, doubling the number of trailer-based enforcement units contracted

  • Six additional trailer units are to be progressively deployed from July to September 2026

  • The WA Road Safety Commission has exercised the first twelve-month extension option in the head contract, extending the contract term to at least October 2028

  • The incremental contract value associated with this contract variation and the contract extension is expected to total approximately $13 million (excluding GST)

Acusensus Limited (ASX:ACE) ( Acusensus ), a technology company designing and developing artificial intelligence enabled road safety solutions, is pleased to announce the expansion of its existing agreement for multi-function enforcement in Western Australia, which was initially signed in October 2024 with the Western Australian government, acting through the Road Safety Commission unit of the Western Australian Police Force ( WA Road Safety Commission ) ( Agreement ). Each trailer-based enforcement unit can simultaneously detect mobile phone usage, seatbelt non-compliance, point speed and average speed, as well as unregistered vehicles.

The expansion will see new trailer-based solutions deployed throughout the state over the coming months, with two of the six trailers already in operation since November 2025, and the balance expected to be deployed from July to September 2026. The expansion will enhance regional coverage and will double the number of transportable multifunction units in operation in Western Australia.

The WA Road Safety Commission has also exercised the first of two options in the head contract, providing a twelve-month extension to all existing transportable enforcement camera services. The contract will now run to at least October 2028.

The incremental contract value associated with this contract variation and the contract extension (prior to any variable elements) is expected to total approximately $13 million (excluding GST).

Acusensus Founder and Managing Director, Alexander Jannink, said:

“We are delighted to expand our work with the WA Road Safety Commission. This variation underscores the effectiveness of our unique multi-function trailer platform to change driver behaviours, which allows for various types of life-saving enforcement to be combined into a single solution. By increasing the fleet and extending our partnership for these services through to the end of October 2028, we can further support the WA Road Safety Commission in enhancing road safety outcomes and reducing casualties across both metropolitan and regional areas.”
