Realtors look to cash in on demand for such projects at leisure destinations

lop property developers across | western and northern India are getting into 'second homes' concept at leisure destinations. A prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, the work from home (WFH) norm and a demand for such properties, being the main reasons.

Prominent names like New Delhibased Eldeco, and Mumbai ones like Sunteck Realty, Rustomjee and Shree Naman group have taken a plunge into the segment while DLF, Tata Realty & Infrastructure, and Isprava are some of the established names.

Eldeco plans to launch a second homes project in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh and in _ Rishikesh, Uttarakhand in the second half of 2022. The Kasauli project will have 100 villas built over 35 acres with each incurring a cost between 23.5 crore and %8 crore while the Rishikesh project will have 60 villas at = 2 crore to %3 crore each.

Encouraged by steady recovery witnessed in the first two weeks of February, business hotels await corporate demandtocheckin, especially in metros, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. Business hotels had been lagging their leisure counterparts interms ofrevenue peravailable room (RevPAR).

But that's set to change. Hospitality firms are of the opinion that huge pentup demand for meetings, incentives, conferencing, andexhibitions (MICE) as corporates gradually return tohosting physical events, coupled withthe easing of recently announced restrictions on international travel, will help revenue reachcloser to pre-Covid levels. আগে যেমন স্কুলে আসত সেভাবেই স্কলে আসবে এবং সরাসরি ক্লাসরুমে বসে ক্লাস করবে। স্কুল খোলা নিয়ে সোমবার মুখ্যসচিব হরিকৃষ্ণ দ্বিবেদীর জারি করা নির্দেশিকায় কোভিড বিধি মেনে প্ৰাথমিক ও উচ্চপ্রাথমিক স্তরের স্কুল খোলার কথা বলা হয়েছে। কীভাবে স্কুল খুলবে, পড়ুয়ারা কীভাবে স্কুলে আসৰে, প্ৰতিদিন সবাই আসবে নাকি ভাগ ভাগ করে, তা ঠিক করবে স্কল শিক্ষা দপ্তর। এই নির্দেশিকা জারির পরই স্কুল শিক্ষা দপ্তর বৈঠকে বসে। দপ্তরের সচিব মণীশ জৈন জেলাশাসকদের উদ্দেশে এ নিয়ে জারি করা নির্দেশিকায় প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ নিতে বলেছেন। বলা হয়েছে, স্কুল পরিষ্কার এবং জীবাণুমুক্তকরণের কাজ যেন অবিলম্বে শুরু করা হয়। শিক্ষক এবং শিক্ষাকর্মীরা মঙ্গলবার থেকেই স্কুলে আসবেন। কোভিড বিধি মেনে হস্টেল খোলার কথা বলা হয়েছে। প্রসঙ্গত, গত বহস্পতিবার মুখ্যমন্ত্ৰী মমতা ব্যানাৰ্জিও পৰিস্থিতি বুঝে ছোট পড়ুয়াদের জন্য স্কুল খোলার ইঙ্গিত দিয়েছিলেন। উল্লেখ্য, ৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে রাজ্যে শুরু হয়েছে 'পাড়ায় শিক্ষালয়'। সেখানে প্ৰাক–প্ৰাথমিক থেকে সপ্তম শ্ৰেণি পর্যন্ত পড়য়াদের পঠনপাঠন চলছে। তবে

থেকেই সব পডুয়াকে স্কুলে রান্না করা আশেপাশের মাঠে, পার্কে চলছে এই পডয়াদের পডাশোনা। স্কলের শিক্ষকরাই পডাচ্ছেন। আর অষ্টম থেকে দ্বাদশের পড়ুয়াদের জন্য স্কুলের ক্লাসরুমেই ক্লাস হচ্ছে। স্কুল স্তরে অষ্টম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি এবং কলেজ-বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ফের পঠনপাঠন চালু হওয়ার পরই পুরো স্কুল খুলে দেওয়ার দাবি উঠছিল। এদিনের স্কুল খোলার এই সিদ্ধান্তকে বিভিন্ন শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার সঙ্গে যত্ত সংগঠনগুলির পক্ষ থেকে স্বাগত জানানো হয়েছে।

এদিকে, ১৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জি রাজ্যের প্রাইমারি এবং আপার প্রাইমারি স্কুল খোলার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর নিৰ্দেশ পেয়েই মহানাগরিক কলকাতা পরসভার স্কুলগুলিকে প্রস্তুত করে ফেলার নিৰ্দেশ দেন।

মহানাগরিকের নির্দেশ মেনে পুরসভার শিক্ষাদপ্তর জরুরি ভার্চুয়াল বৈঠকে বসে। মেয়র পারিষদ (শিক্ষা) সন্দীপন সাহার নেতৃত্বে ভার্চুয়াল বৈঠক হয়। দপ্তরের চিফ ম্যানেজারের কাছ থেকে কলকাতা পুরসভার অন্তর্গত ১৭৫টি স্কুল ভবনের পরিকাঠামোগত রিপোর্ট তলব করেন মেয়র পারিষদ। পরসভা সূত্রে জানা গেছে, বৈঠকে মেয়র পারিষদ আগামী দু'দিনের মধ্যে পুর স্কুল সংক্রান্ত বিস্তারিত রিপোর্ট চেয়েছেন। রিপোর্টে স্কুল সম্পর্কে বেশ কয়েকটি বিষয় জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে। যে বিষয়গুলি জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে, সেগুলি হল, পুরসভা ক্লাসরুমে নয়, স্কুলের মাঠ, বারান্দায়, স্কুলগুলি কী অবস্থায় রয়েছে? সেখানে যেখানে স্কুলের মাঠ নেই সেখানে সামাজিক দূরত্ব মেনে কতজন পড়ুয়া

বসানো সম্ভব। স্কুলগুলো জীবাণুমুক্ত করার কাজ কতদূর হয়েছে? স্কুলগুলো পরিষ্কার–পরিচ্ছন্নের কাজ হয়েছে কিনা? এতদিন বন্ধ থাকায় স্কলের বেঞ্চ, টেবিল–চেয়ার ঠিক আছে কিনা? কলকাতা পুরসভার ১৭৫টি স্কুল ভবনে সকাল-দুপুর মিলিয়ে মোট ২৪১টি স্কুল চলে। বাংলা, হিন্দি, উর্দু, ইংরেজি এবং ওড়িয়া মাধ্যমের স্কুল রয়েছে কলকাতা পুরসভার অন্তর্গত। পুর স্কুলের পড়ুয়ার সংখ্যা প্ৰায় ১৮ হাজার ৫০০ জন। তাই স্কুল খোলার আগে সবদিক ভাল করে দেখে নিতে চায় শিক্ষা দপ্তর।

ক্যান্সারের গবেষণায় আরও বেশি করে প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার বাড়াতে উদ্যোগী হল মৌলানা আবুল কালাম আজাদ প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বা ম্যাকাউট। শুক্রবার 'বিশ্ব ক্যান্সার দিবস' উপলক্ষে ক্যান্সার রিসার্চ সেল–এর উদ্বোধন করা হল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। অনলাইনে সেলের উদ্বোধন করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য সৈকত মৈত্ৰ। অনুষ্ঠানে ছিলেন কল্যাণী এইমস-এর অধিকর্তা রামজি সিংহ–সহ বেশ কয়েকজন বিশেষজ্ঞ চিকিৎসক। উপাচার্য জানান, ক্যান্সারের গবেষণায় ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল এবং স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবার সঙ্গে তথ্য প্রযুক্তি, কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স, আৰ্টিফিসিয়াল ইন্টেলিজেন্স বা কুত্ৰিম মেধার মতো প্রযুক্তিকে কাজে লাগিয়ে গবেষণার পদ্ধতিকে আরও উন্নত করার চেষ্টা করা হবে। এই গবেষণায় ছাত্র–ছাত্রী এবং শিক্ষকেরা অংশ নিতে পারবেন।
